Ene+Ene Arhitectura

Ene+Ene Arhitectură is a partnership between two architects who have been working together since they met in architecture school.

Over time, the professional interests of the practice have diversified — starting initially with interior architecture and visual identity projects, and in recent years expanding to include individual housing, office buildings, and industrial architecture — deliberately avoiding specialization in any single field.

From the beginning, architectural competitions have been an important part of their professional activity, seen both as a form of architectural exploration and as a means of gaining access to new commissions.

Their current architectural concerns centre on understanding and integrating ideas such as identity, place, and tradition.

Adela Ene studied architecture at the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, Romania, from which she graduated in 1996. She also pursued Advanced Architectural Studies there in 1997. She has been a member of the Romanian Order of Architects since 2001 and of the Romanian Union of Architects since 1997.

Mihai Ene studied architecture at the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, graduating in 1996. He subsequently pursued Advanced Studies in Architecture in 1997 and obtained a PhD in 2007. He has been a member of the Romanian Order of Architects since 2001 and of the Romanian Union of Architects since 1997. He served as vice-president of the Bucharest Order of Architects from 2010 to 2014 and is currently a Professor at the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism, Faculty of Architecture, where he has been teaching since 1996.

In 1998, they founded the architecture office Trans/Form Arhitectură & Design, under which name they worked until 2005, when they established Ene+Ene Arhitectură.
